Slay the day away with Day Drops ✨

If I could give this a million stars out of 10, I would. I first came across Sonya Dakar around 2018-2019 and purchased the Sonya Dakar x Lauren Elizabeth collection. From Sonya and Mimi to the website to the socials to the packaging to the products themselves— I loved everything, I loved it all (especially the results I was seeing over time) and that this is literally what sparked/started my obsession with skincare, ingredients, taking better care of my skin (face and body) and wanting to become a licensed esthetician to continue learning and to also help others! Flash Facial has always been my #1 (and I still love Flash Facial) but I am an absolute SPF/Sunscreen lover girl. I’m not a “yes” girl or “I LOVE EVERYTHING!” girl either. I will say, I didn’t love Daily Shield/Face Shield (OG non-tinted) it didn’t do much and left a residue on my skin that I didn’t love; I really like and wanted to love Sun Bae (tinted) but for some reason the shade looked too dark and pulled orange on my skin tone which is the only thing that I disliked about it (wishing they revamp the shade(s) and now finally the launch of Day Drops (Ulta-sheer/non-tinted) let me say I was GAGGED when I saw the announcement for these and had to purchase these immediately. I’m so glad that I did! I love that it’s a mineral sunscreen, and has green tea, vitamin c, and antioxidants to help brighten, hydrate, and protect the skin with extra amazing skincare/beneficial ingredients. There is no scent, which is so nice also. The packaging is sleek and fun and cute 10/10. The product itself is both fun and easy to apply. I would say a little goes a long way, and at first may feel “buttery, silky-oil-like” but just gently apply and rub into the skin, give it a few a minutes to really set/soak into the skin. That “greasy/buttery” feel goes away and soaks in. You will not have any residue or weird feeling on your skin, and definitely no white cast! I like to do my skincare routine, apply Day Drops after moisturizer is absorbed fully, and then I also like to apply a little/thin layer of a tinted mineral sunscreen (I have my go-to’s but I’m not here to promote other brands) but ultimately my expectations were exceeded and this product is an absolute must-have for everyone. Gives the most gorgeous natural, healthy, glow-from-within look to the skin, with the most lightweight, barely there, ultra sheer silky smooth skin feel. I mean does it get any better? If so, I’d say by making two sizes of Day Drops (1.7 50ml) *size now* but also would loveeeee a jumbo size bc let’s be real, I’d put this everywhere head to toe xoxox

TRULY AMAZING BLUE BUTTERFLY BALM

I purchased the Blue Butterfly Balm on a whim, after reading the description and customer reviews. My skin is very sensitive and I have rosacea. In addition, I have asthma, which means I am VERY sensitive to strong scents. I decided to give the balm a try with the hopes it would help my sensitive skin, and, most of all, that the scent would not be overpowering.

I have been using it every day since it arrived, and I am so very pleased with how it feels on my skin - so gentle and hydrating. It is indeed a very calming balm. The thing I love the most, In addition to the actual skin benefits, is the very lovely soft enchanting scent! I wish there was a perfume made with this lovely and gentle scent!

This blue butterfly balm is now going to be integrated as part of my daily beauty routine. I truly love it and highly recommend it.

Thanks for creating such a soothing and gentle product with such a lovely enchanting soft scent!

Great oil!

I love this oil! I do wish the bronzer color was a little lighter. I can only use it at night because the color of the bronzer leaves me too dark of an orange/brown color.

I love the formula. I just hate the packaging The product comes in I always have to stick a Q-tip in there to get the rest of the product out because a little applicator that it comes with doesn’t reach the bottom of the glass container.

Amazing!

I ran out of the blue butterfly bomb like ages ago and never restocked but now that it's summertime it's an absolute must-have because I get sunburn pretty easily. The blue mask was a new one for me because I got it in a trial size and I use it almost everyday because my skin is super sensitive. But I love the way it it doesn't dry anything out and calms my red annoyed skin after a long day in an auto shop lol

Love!

Great facial oil! I have sensitive acne prone skin and this has fully replaced my moisturizer. I only use 2-3 drops so the bottle actually lasts a good amount of time!

Face refresh

Love what this product does. However the amount of product in the bottle is small and runs out very quickly. At the price point it would be nice to have it last more than 2 weeks. I’d pay more for a larger bottle that would last longer.

I was very excited to try this product the moment it launched! I love the packaging and ingredients and trying it for the first time my impressions were: 1) I really love the consistency of this sunscreen. It’s very milky-serum-like and is very easy to apply and rub into the skin. 2) The product when applying, felt very silky/buttery-like guving a more luxurious feel vs. applying sunscreen feel 3) Gives a beautiful natural glow to your skin (does not look or feel greasy) 4) Soak into the skin evenly, effortlessly, and dry down quickly. 5) Very light, barely there scent. Not a harsh sunscreen smell, which I love. Overall, I was very pleased with my first use of Day Drops. The only thing that could make this even better would be if it had the ability to blur imperfections like Sun Bae does. But, overall I am very impressed and will continue to use Day Drops 💖☀️

Best Moisturizer EVER!!

I have been using this moisturizer for almost six years now, on top of a lot of Sonya’s products but this is hands down the best moisturizer in the market. So lightweight but yet so hydrating. Im 30 years old and people think I look 22 so the anti aging is definitely working too. A MUST!!

Acne Scars

Within a month of using this product my daughters acne scarring has gotten so much better. Her skin is much smoother and clearer. She has battled with acne for years, treatment has left her skin scarred, uneven, dry. So glad we finally found a product to help her. This along with the face wash and zit buster are the best products we have found!

Leaking Package & skin irritation

I purchased the 1oz product and received this packaging with the product already leaking. The pump wasn't screwed on properly or something so the product was oozing out. As someone who actually has worked with packaging products for most of my career, this raised concerns about how it was handled or sealed before shipping. I informed customer service but they never even bothered replying. Second, the product caused irritation to my face which is unusual for me because I don't typically have sensitive skin or reactions to skin care products. I almost take it for granted and use any products. It could just be it wasn't compatible but out of all the products I've ever used this was the only one that caused any real irritation. I looked up colloidal silver and i found results that said "Both the FDA and medical professionals generally advise against its use, stating it is not effective and can be unsafe." Not sure if that's what did it but I thought I'd caution others from a packaging perspective and ingredient.

Because both the packaging and the product itself felt inconsistent with expectations, I’m disappointed in the overall experience. It also made me question the brand’s quality control standards, since packaging integrity is usually a basic indicator of how carefully a product is manufactured and handled.

Unfortunately, I won’t be repurchasing.

Couldn't Live Without

I got this as a sample a few years back and wasn't really crazy about it because everything irritated my skin. I recently got a sample size and absolutely loved the way it made my skin feel. I have pretty bad discoloration and bad acne scars that I wish I could afford to get rid of but unfortunately that's a ways away but this smoothes my complexion and has helped even out the look of my skin. I like the size of the bottle and the applicator style because you don't have to stick your fingers into anything. I will say a little bit goes a long way. But the ritual of massaging it into your skin is an important step so don't skip it! I can go makeup less a lot more days now feeling confident in my skin.

Didn't know how this was going to turn out

I was always seeing that this was sold out but I couldn't understand the appeal of a tinted sunscreen. I find this to be a little bit on the drying side but I feel like if you're in the sun during the summer this would be absolutely amazing. I sometimes just put it on if I'm not feeling up for the full makeup routine and it's pretty good about pore cover up and redness. I don't feel like it clogs my pores and I haven't had any breakouts since I've started using it but I can't say much after 4 days. I think one of my favorite things about all of their products is that they all work in this homogeneous routine and you can layer them on top of each other without feeling heavy or weighed down ever.

Gentle but effective

It’s actually reducing dark spots on my face

I absolutely love this product! It’s actually reducing large dark spots and one is almost completely gone after just 5 full 6 step facials with this beauty box. My skin is extremely soft and glowing 💕

Don't know if this or the balm is better

So I've kind of learned which Sonia products work in which seasons for me and I had never tried this mask before but I'm so glad I did. I feel like I say that about all of their products but this one is so soothing at the end of a long work day and leads me with nice soft skin. The balm can sometimes be a little heavy on my skin and this kind of leaves just a light residual which is nice when you want to apply makeup and go out for the night. I like that you don't have to use a lot either like you do with the rose gold radiance mask.

Amazing Mask

I recently decided to try all the different masks and this one is really great for deep cleansing my nose pores. I can't use it all over since it's quite drying but it's still one of my staples. I only give 4 stars because of the drying- the rose gold mask is still better for my type of skin.
